Catching Setup For Blocking

Getting started:
    1. When you are getting into your stance, it is important to get a wider stance with your feet. Your Feet should be at least a little wider than your shoulders then squat down in your stance. Knees should not be pointing inward. Also keep your butt up and don't sit too low.
    2. This will allow you to move your feet quicker when blocking and cover more ground.
    3.  It is very important when blocking baseballs/softballs to get your glove down right way. As soon as you see the ball about to hit the ground, lead & flip with your glove and your body will follow.
    4. Always Lead with your glove to the spot of the ball

Advanced blocking:

  • When going to left, get left shoulder around glove.
  • When going right, get right shoulder around glove.
